There are so many drum breaks from the 70s out there which have been sampled and used in hundreds of tracks. One of them would be Ashley´s Roachclip by Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers. It was used heavily in the late 80s and early 90s. Just have a quick jump to 3:31 of this video and you know exactly what i am talking about:
Now you get the idea. Eric B. & Rakim or PM Dawn were just two artists using this break in their productions. And yes - i just passed on Milli Vanilli intentionally.
